Abstract

Dear readers, the responsibility of writing an editorial for a magazine makes us think about the fundamental and multifaceted role of academic publishing. The Academia Itapecuruense de Ciências, Letras e Arte (AICLA), through its members, is aware of how challenging it is to launch and continue future editions of Revista Pergaminho, the result of AICLA's growth, consolidation and social responsibility.

In this edition, rigorous evaluations were carried out, which aim to guarantee the quality and credibility of the information that will be shared. We selected five scientific articles, two chronicles and four poems. The contents include different genres of writing, following the academic tradition of uniting Science, Letters and Art. Pergaminho magazine will persevere in its objective of gathering and disseminating knowledge and different perspectives, providing a unique literary space that encourages reflection and understanding of the topics covered.
